A tourist captured a shocking moment when an elephant attacked and killed a buffalo as it lay peacefully on a grassy field.

The video was taken in a national park and shows the buffalo, minding its own business, getting up and starting to run as an elephant approaches.

The elephant charges toward the buffalo, striking it with its tusks and forcing it to the ground.

As this unfolds, a tourist can be heard exclaiming, “Oh no, what the hell?”

The buffalo, unable to move, remains on the ground while the elephant continues its attack, lifting the animal with its tusks and throwing it into the air.

Another tourist comments, “That’s the end of that buffalo,” as the elephant delivers a few more aggressive blows before retreating.
